Over 1,200 people in Massachusetts have received the second dose of the coronavirus vaccine, a new milestone in the state's fight against the coronavirus.

New Haven police are investigating after a man was shot Wednesday evening.
Police said around 7:30 PM, New Haven Police And Fire responded to a 911 call of a person shot inside a corner store at the intersection of Clinton Avenue and Dover Street in the Fair Haven neighborhood. A 37-year-old New Haven man had been shot in the abdomen.
Emergency medical responders treated the victim at the scene and an ambulance transported him to Yale New Haven Hospital where he was listed in stable condition.
Prior to the incident, investigators believe a verbal dispute outside the store led to the shooting. An unknown gunman shot the victim and then fled on foot. The injured victim walked into the store and sought assistance.

More than 35,000 people in Massachusetts have started the COVID-19 vaccination process, according to the state s new vaccine dashboard, released for the first time Thursday along with the weekly community-level metrics on the pandemic.
The numbers, from the Massachusetts Department of Public Health, have been increasing steadily for weeks, as have coronavirus case totals, amid a new surge that has intensive care beds in short supply at some hospitals. (See this week s full red zone list below.)

A section or Route 195 in Fairhaven, Massachusetts, was temporarily closed Wednesday night after about a dozen cows wandered onto the highway.
It happened on the highway s eastbound section near Route 240. The road was apparently closed for about 10 minutes, according to Tweets from the Massachusetts State Police.
The road was closed while attempts were made to corral the cows, the police said.
At 7:36 p.m., the state police posted an update, saying the cows had been recovered by the owner and all lanes were reopened.
The incident amused some Twitter users, if not drives struck in traffic.
One twitter user found it a nice distraction from what was happening in Washington, D.C.
